Arranging flights to Poland and back is on your part, as well as arranging one night for you to stay in Gdansk after you land on the 15th (the flights usually land in Gdansk around 01:00 a.m.) – if you travel from Iceland. If you travel from another country or from Poland, it is important that you are in Gdansk on the 16th of April before afternoon.
Let’s break it down in terms of transportation:
1) Your flight to Gdansk will be on the 15th of April in the evening, landing in Poland around 01:00. You will stay in a hotel for one night.
2) On the 16th of April you will have few hours during the day to grab a lunch, take a walk in city etc.
3) In the afternoon there will be a bus transport organised for you (included with your retreat) to take you to the venue, which is 1 h drive from Gdansk. I will share the exact time and place for that closer to the date.
4) On Sunday the 19th, after checkout we will go together back to the city (transport included), there we will have couple of hours to have a lunch etc. before going back to the airport for the afternoon flight back to Reykjavik.
If you wish to extend your stay – come to Gdansk earlier or stay few days longer, I would definitely recommend that, since Gdansk is beautiful, fun and full of history. In that case you can arrange your trip accordingly, and meet us on the 16th in the set location to go to the venue.
I recommend booking the flight directly with Wizzair, now the basic tickets are less than 100 euros both ways.
For the hotel stay on the 15th, I recommend Hotel Milo Gdansk Airport, where you will have a 10% discount on your booking with a code “Calma”.
Gdansk airport is around 25 mins drive from the city centre.
